Couldn't think of a title or this post, ahh well. If it's got on, I've thought of one before posting.
I've now got a snack, though less meal-like that I had imagined. I don't feel like cooking. I've got veggies (peppers and carrots) and a bit of caesar dressing for dip. Arr.
My hands are cold, which makes it hard to type.
Onto the point, though, the gaming stuff...
Ian is goign to be running a game this fall. He already had two players, recruited from my Vampire game. He also wanted Mary to try playing, so he could involve her in his life, which is cool. It isn't actually the first time she's gamed... I guess she tried Cyberpunk once or twice in highschool. Not a game I'd start a newbie out with, maybe, but whatever. She made a character based on a cool dream she had once. She said she had fuin, though it was a bit slow at times (downtime which attention is paid to other players... always a little slow). But this isn't a post about Mary, it's a post about me! She can write her own thoughts, she has her own livejournal.
Anyway, Ian wanted to run a pre-session for her so that she'd have a better idea what to expect. he asked me if I wanted to play in that, and of course I said yes! ^-^. I made a version of Kolya, while he was still on his quest, so that it would be like a little side adventure for him. It was very fun to play him in a different (non internet) setting.
He was still technically around when the reqal session happened the next day. So I played him again, for about, oh... half an hour, at the most. That was frustrating. How can I not be involved in gaming in the house where I live? what's wrong with the universe! ;D It made sense in game... The person who had taken him out of the Dreaming only had a little time to be around, and he sent me back so he could be on his way.
I tried working, as I said, but I couldn't concentrate. Instead I farted around online, chatted to people, and read a bit. And kept running downstairs to see how things were going, of course ^-^
I hope I wasn't too distracting.
Anyway, afterwards, Ian said that the group had gotten a lot further than he had imagined they would... flukey luck roll (actually a botch). They wound up in his weird alternate dimension place (Fog City. The City), populated with zombies and Deathling (constructs which inhabit dead human bodies, but aren't undead, *honest* ;D Long story.
Anyway, now he wants to play a few more sessions befiore school starts, so he said if I wanted I could make a character for it. So I did. I recycled again. Peole are going to start thinking I can't create original ideas anymore :o I re-cycled Rye, kind of. Only Now Rye is a Deathling... got turned into one. The whole deathling thing allows for much interdimensional travel and whatnot. Rye is cool. Rye has no gender. Rye only exists in the role Rye is currently playing, and now, Rye has no name, only that of the current role, which is a lie, and always changes... Rye is one of the neastest character concepts I have ever come up with, I think. Rye's coolness has nothign to do with powers, either, which is even cooler. Rye was inspired by stuff Hazel was doing with her art... about how identity is a transient thing, always changing. Only to the extreme.
Anyway, I birthed Rye for a cool online game that didn't last, because they never did in those days (I'm saying that so I can keep faith that all those currently ongoing will survive. *knocks on wood*). But now, since I'm creating the deathling version as an NPC, I know Rye will go on forever! Yay! I find it so frustrating when cool character get stuck and forgotten in games that die rather than end. Maybe I've been spoiled by the number of games I've been in which have actualy properly ended. Anyway, enough pointless ranting about stuff a lot of people won't be able to make heads or tails of. I'm going to get ready for dancing. yay, dancing!
And then, Diablotin!
