But it escapes my tired brain -_-

So, yeah... we're havign this debate about the nature of historical arcaheology in class. I really tend to thik of it as applying to a method rather than a period, but I'm not in the majority,.... Not alone though, I know ;) But one of the things people were saying to debate me was that not all arcaheologists who work with historical materials consider themselves historical arcaheologists, or what they do to be historical archaeology. People especially like to use Egyptology, because, well... Egyptologists at least have a reputation for being pretty insular. So... I went on the internet, and I found one, and I asked. So we will see what they *really* think! Ha!

I also had a realizatin last class that I am one of *those* graduate students. One of the people who is loud and aggressive during class debates. I just really *enjoy* it... and also, I've been trained for it. My first term of university, I was put into a tutorial with the dean of arts, in order to have the kinds of class discussion that a lot of people don't get into until their uper years. I'm lucky, and I just hope I'm not *scary*. Or mean. :o I don't wanna be mean. But it does fill me with a kind of manic excitement when I get to debate like that.
