The more I work on this proposal, the more I wanna go study pirates in the bahamas through UCL like it is my life's dream! Bwaaaaaaah, why is it realistically so financially unfeasible that I would actually be able to go to UCL, even if I got accepted?

;_;

I hope to be done with this draft tonight at least, and then I'll pass it on to Steve, and if he thinks it looks decent, I'll e-mail some of my proffs.

Really though people. "Yes, I'd like a grant to go and spend my summer in the Bahamas, please?" Oh, and also get a degree through one of the best archaeology schools out there....

I am encouraged by the fact that Nasau has a relatively new interactive pirate museum (or at least 'museum')... That tells me that there are people there who are interested in the city/country's pirate past, and that they've got *some* money. I think this museum is a private money-making scheme, but I'll take my encouragement where I can. Pirate history *is* a tourist draw, so I can hardly fault them.

I should say that I'm not pinning all my hopes on UCL. I'm honestly not. I am letting my hopes get *up* a little, though.

ETA, in other random news, Scallywag has just spent the last five minutes sitting on my desk, fluffing himself and obsessively washing his feet. Awwwwww.... <3
