umm, I guess I'm it :o

Well, I'll do this then, and see where it goes. I'm not promising any good answers though!

Total number of books I have owned: Errr... how could I possibly know that? :o A fair number, but not as many as some other. The ones I currently own are fewer in number. Maybe about 2-300? That is a complete guess.

The last Book I Bought: ....*blank stare* I don't remember :o It *might* have been Villains of All Nations buy Marcus Rediker

The last Book I Read: Okay this I know! The Perfect Lover by Christopher Priest. It is actually a sci-fi book, despite the title, and isn't about sex at all. I promise! I am currently reading Daniel Defoe's A Journal of the Plague Year.

Five (or approximately five) books that mean a lot to me:

Ahh... errr....

A General History of the Pirates (or, A General History of the Robberies and Murders of the Most Notorious Pirates), by Charles Johnson. Because anyone who loves historical pirates should love this book ([livejournal.com profile] tiggothy, I'm looking at you ;), and because it has so much neat/interesting/useful stuff in it.

Dungeons and Dragons Player's Handbook. 3.0. Well, it is the most referenced book I own, currently, so I guess it deserves a mention. It *is* a book, afterall, and clearly it is important :)

Old Granny Fox by Thornton W. Burgess. Because I've had it since I was a wee girl, and I loved it then. I should re-read it now. :) It is old.... and third-hand. It apparently also belonged to patricia Anne MacCalluc, and somoeone named Gregory (possibly Bacon). It was published in 1920. <3

The Herbalist by Joseph E. Meyer. It belonged to my mother. I always wanted it. I've looked stuff up in it from time to time. I used to want to have more of a practical working knowledge of herbs and herbal remedies... but really I'm too lazy. I still treasure the book, though.

....One more right? I'll say my journal, because of the stuff I have in it. The written stuff, and the physical stuff. It is a book. it is important to me, and so, it counts. I can't really think of a lot of books that stand out more than any of the other I decided to keep when I moved, so these guys are what you get.

Now, I am supposed to tag five other people to do this meme. You don't have to though :o I pick... [livejournal.com profile] skjaere, [livejournal.com profile] chiv (to be fair, see ;), ummm..... [livejournal.com profile] curtana, [livejournal.com profile] vess, and [livejournal.com profile] supersocialist

Heh. I thought about 'tagging' you officially, but I didn't think you'd do it ;)

I still really need to read Tarzan.
