No millenium hand and shrimp, though.... I'm annoyed. I've finished my glass analysis, and was finishing touching up my Pirate presentation, and was going to look at some imaged that Ian had put on disc for me that Mary had scanned... and realized that my CD drive isn't being registered by my computer. So, fuck. I don't wanna give away my computer to get it fixed... and the dc drive still plays CD's just fine when the computer is off. There is probably a loose wire or somethign somewhere, grrr... And I wouldn't want to try and open my laptop case on my own anyway. I don't have the tools and I'm not sure how tricky it would be to put things back together :o

I'm really not entirely sure what is up. I mean, the Audio-Rack program still loads whenever I accidentally press the 'play' button in the front of the computer, but it can only find the CD to play about 1/4 of the time. It isn't a matter of it not reading burned discs, or music CD's, because I tried the other discs I have here, and it wouldn't read them either. There is absolutely no acknowledgement that there is a D drive at all, and if I run a thingy to install a new device, it doesn't find anything.... which is why I suspect a loose wire. Any suggestions about what I might do? Dare I try and open this puppy up?
