Julie isn't allowed to bake at my house.

Right. I was washing the dishes. I noticed a tag sticking out of my cupboard, that said somethign about 'wash hands after handling'. I couldn't think what it was, so I opened said cupboard, to solve the mystery, and range things a little more neatly. It was attached to the power cord on my electric mixer. The whole tag read: Warning: The power cord on this machine contains lead, a product known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects and other reproductive complications. Wash hands after handling.

...so maybe no one should use it. This is a kitchen appliance! What the Hell! Lead! :o

I guess this is what I get for spending $7 on a mixer :p

On the other hand, my blender is fine. I have a smoothie, and pudding is setting in the fridge. My wire whisk is not made of any toxic element either, to my knowledge :p

I accidentally posted this in the microfic community first. Oops >_< I have no idea how that even happened.

Huh. But yeah, no wonder it was cheap... probably old and violates current safety standards. Still, replacing the cord with a copper one shouldn't be too expensive... although might be more than the mixer.

Sometimes a weird keystroke combination or misclick will change something that I didn't notice until the deed is done. If then.
