Also, it seems that either my eimail or LJ is being a bit on crack. I haven't been getting comments. Maybe I will get them four weeks from now, instead :)

I will answer these, but I will make myself do work afterwards, and send out questions later. I haven't done a lick yet, since Joel called to wish me happy birthday just as I was getting started.

1. You seem to be very interested in both mental and physical pursuits, if someone were to give you the chance would you drop your opportunities at farther learning to run off on an adventure where you could be a real life king fu pirate mistress? What if anything, would you miss most about the academic life?
I think it wouuld depend how much other stuff I had to leave behind, and whether I would be able to come back to it later. If it meant losing touch with the people who are important to me, I wouldn't. But if I could do it for a year or two and then come back and finish up a PHD, or even when I was too old to swing a sword (if that time ever came about), then sure! I think I would miss learning all the interesting stories from the past. The things you find, or piece together, in old documents, or from artifactss and sites. Although I bet as a kung-fu pirate mistress, I could dig in the dirt as much as I wanted. Presumably if I am turning to piracy, ethics are no longer an issue ;D

2.What is the silliest, cheesiest character you have ever single handedly made for a role playing game? What were they like?
Well, first off, I have to say that I played in a Dragonball Z roleplaying game, and that by definition, any character made for that system is the silliest cheesiest character. I played a girl pretending to be a boy (I don't remember why... she didn't want people to underestimate her fighting potential, maybe?) who had inherited time-control fighting powers. She was fiesty.

I *also* played, in a silly Vampire game, a Malkavian who throught she was a Tremere pretending to be a Toreador. Or something like that. As you might expect, she was kind of crazy, but I don't remember specifically how. Then there is the Gangrel I played in LARP who was inspired by Red XIII from FFVII. Terry played Sepiroth. And my blind Malkavian prophet of Leonard Cohen (~You know the way to stop me, baby, but you don't have the discipline!~) Take your pick ^-^

3. Am I really the best wife you've ever had. *really*?
Of course you are! I have never had another wife who cooks, and cleans, and listens, and plays, and is as generally awesome as you ^-^

4.You seem very calm and balanced, but I have heard tales from your youth that indicate that was not always so. Can you remember what point in your life you turned stoic?
I don't know. I think it might have been partly influenced by cadets, where I had lots of practice standing around and looking severe and generally not showing what I was thinking, during drills, and whatnot, even if my mind was elsewhere. I think also, watching Hazel operate, especially in high school, pushed me towards being more reserved. She had a great mastery of melodrama and emotional manipulation, especially when it came to our parents. I think though that I have always been *fairly* stable.... In the past though, Hazel used to have a game that she would engage in, to try and push my buttons until I snapped, and probably that is the basis for stories you have heard of my being, um, less reserved. Unless you have heard other things that I *don't* know about, or I am forgetting something. My past isn't something I think about a lot.

5.Do some boys really learn to like it, or is that all a farce.
I forget exactly what boys learn to like :o In anycase, I think the answer was "yes, but of their own accord, not from any direct pressure form me." ^-^ Ask Joel ;D
