I hope Hazel is/was successfully able to make a plane to the UK today and has no problem getting to Aberyswyth! But people should let me know :)

Edit: I heard (via intermittent ICQ contact) that she leaves in an hour, but that was about half an hour ago... I assume she was at the airport, then? And probably whoever brough her there (Steve and others?) is fighting his (their?) way back home through the omnipresent Toronto traffic. She says she dodn't know what she will do when she gets there, but I check on the Virgin Rail site, and there is a train that leaves Man Airport at 9, and at 11, and probably a later one as well, so she should be fine. Of course, I'm not sure that she is going in to M'cer... But if they have trains I'm sure London will too. Right? :D

They (Hazel, Steve and Rob) just left for the airport now - her flight goes out around 6:30, so they'll be there well over two hours ahead of time, I expect. She's a bit worried something else will go wrong, but I think everything should be in order. As for the train, she looked on some site and said that she'd have to wait in the M'cer airport for six hours, but whatever happens, there *will* be a train at some point. No adventures this time, I hope!

Nothing had better go wrong! Except she will have to miss Perseity afterall.

*hop*

Can you pronounce M'cer, or is it simply a written thing?

*I* pronouce it M'cer on occasion, but I think it is generally more of a written thing. It is on official signs and stuff, though. I love how in England, there are highway signs that just say "The North" or "The South", sometime with the names of a few cities.

I can't recall hearing anyone say M'cer many other town and city sin abbreviations get used in conversation, Soton for Southampton is a good example of this.

Not yet, no... I am hoipng that it is just because she didn't have the internet set up when she got in, or hadn't been given her password or whatever....
