I Just came home from Mary and Ian's. I randomly decided to clean out the clog of hair and crap that has been accumulating in my shower drain. I'd like to say, for the record: Gluurg Gahh bleeeech eww eww eww gross.

I didn't have rummber gloves, so I mostly used q-tips and cotton balls to avoid having to touch the disgusting mass. I poured lots of TCP down the drain first, too. It it what the Brits use instead of rubbing alcohol as a general disinfectant. It kills germs dead! And brain cells! It smells foul and the smell lingers... Even though I only used it in my bathroom, in the shower box with the fan running directly above, and have my window wide open, I still expect the scent to linger until next week. Blech.

The nest was nice though. We had built it before, and re-bilt it last night again. Mary and Ian have an attic room, which generally gets used as a studio for Ianto lay around with photo stuff. We hung the backdrops, and lugged in the three spare mattresses, covered them with sheets and velvet and as many pillows as we could muster, and made ourselves a little tent. There were candles and mary read us Harry Potter and then there was sleep. It was very cozy (But no inequity. Unless you count tickling Ian until he curled into a fetal ball under a blanket making pathetic chirping sounds ^-^).

And now. I'm going to finish getting dressed, go throw some laundry in the machine, and wander over across the street to the pub where a bunch of peple I know are congregating. Anything to get away from the smell :o
