Today work was still busy but I had a harder time concentrating, pleh.

Tonight, my BiL passed out on the floor downstairs after bringing the kids home from camp. Apparently he told the kids his stomach hurt, but I think this is all a result of making Poor Sleep Decisions. He'd gone upstairs to lie down in bed by the time I got home, though I think he went there pretty directly and didn't actually have dinner or anything. Longpig and I took over the kids' bedtime routine, but he "woke up" part way through me giving them a bath, and when I say woke up I mean not at all. He came in to the bathroom holding one of their stuffed animals, and stepped directly in the bath, still fully clothed. I told him to go take off his wet pants and go back to bed, and he seemingly complied? It was kind of like when you are playing a game with someone and they do exactly what you tell them and no more no less, so I had to be very precise or else I think he would have just laid down on the bathroom floor when I first told him to just go back to sleep :p

Later he came out again when I was trying to find the new bottle of mouthwash for the kids. He had brought out a box of goodnights, probably because he thought they would be needed? (They weren't, afaik), and I just asked him, not realizing he was still/again sleepwalking. At first he passed me a different bottle of mouthwash, and I thought he was being glib, but at one point he actually spoke and then I realized that no, definitely still sleepwalking. He did find the mouthwash though! It was under the sink. And then he went back to bed where he has so far stayed put. So weird. I wonder if he will remember any of this tomorrow.... I'm betting no.

He does have a history of this though, and especially when sleep deprived. Longpig's response when I told her this later was "Okay, now imagine him doing that only he is carrying your baby." eep! But I know that happened, too. He got up to check a crying kid but was not actually awake at all, and she had to get him to hand over the baby (I forget which one). That wold have been concerning. This at least was mostly just bizarre and bemusing.

I have also been making poor sleep choices, so I am going to head to bed after I throw together my larp gear.
