So, I called today twice. The first time I talked to another front desk yahoo, who basically had no more info for me, other than that the tech was looking up info and should be able to get back to me soon with screen quotes.
So then I called back two hours or so later, before I left here, and they'd already made a purchase order for a screen, that is going to run me $157 And take 'an hour and a half to install! The second guy I talked to (who actually had a name) seemed like he may have been a bit further up the chain, and was surprised that I hadn't ever been contacted about stuff, etc. Then he transferred me to a girl at the front (the one who gave me the price on the screen that had been ordered, without anyone actually asking me if I wanted to pay 157 for a laptop screen that I have seen myself online for $85.... plus a whole other *TEN* for shipping, bah!)... Okay so I know I am not a tech person, but I'm a little a: cranky and b: wary. Is an hour and a half estimate to install a new LCD panel actually reasonable?
The Robert dude I talked to also said that since no one had gotten back to me/they weren't finished with the 'rush job' that has taken over a week, that they won't charge me the rush price... we'll see. That was supposed to be the turnaround time, by the way, not the time to get back to me with what was wrong.
I asked them to have their tech e-mail me tomorrow about where he is getting this screen from... maybe they can tell me that I am being unreasonable in some way that I will actually accept :p
advice? Am I being paranoid or am I being a bit jerked around?
*stabby stabby stabby* I'm going to get dinner.
