Seriously! I declare my intention to finish my thesis, and suddenly: everyone is running new games (Joel, Terry, Bart, maybe others), my old games become more regular (at least my TT here should), and people want to hang out with me more :o I was out playing halo tonight... Tuesday is, apparently, cheap martini night ($2.50!) at some coffee place that Tex knows about (martinis = love... even if they are really just cocktails, and not martinis at all), both Dina and Maria both mentioned trying to get together more regularly this term.... Friday if I am done gaming at a reasonable hour there is a thing at Kim's to go to too :o And if not that I could have gone and played boardgames with some of the CRM girls. It's crazymadness, I tell you! Of course, I don't expect the games will get going until February is nearly over, if then, and the socializing ill also die out as school gets more serious, but still. None of my other terms have been this crazy. It is a goos and bad thing. Good because I feel more connected to people when they seem to want me around, but bad because I really need the time I've been spending playing to work on my thesis and other school work. Well, I'll just have to find a way around it, somehow. Hrm... If I get another chapter done, and a third started, by the end of this month, I'll feel a lot better about it all, that's for sure. Of course, it would also be nice if Dr. Ewen would get back to me ;_;

My friend Steve has just made a very long and enlightened post on the subject of proportional representation. Any one interested in Canadian politics who isn't already on his f-list might want to look it over. I agree that it is an important issue, and that thought it will be difficult to implement fairly, it really ought to be done.

Game was over early tonight, but not early enough for me to hook up with the Anth ladies, alas. Well, it would have been if I'd gone home immediately, but we just kind of hung out for a while, which was cool too. I am now 7th level: I went sorcerer in the end (I know you were all dying to know), and took 4 skill points worth of out of class skills. We will probably go up to 8th next game. Eric wants to put up up to higher levels sooner rather than later, so that he can throw nastier crap at us, so i may get my prestige class sooner rather than later as well. Line of the night Meris just jumped in the sac with a dead orc!" Context: The party had been capture, save me, the cleverest sneakingiest rogue ever. While they were being beaten and interrogated, I had a quick nap, and sent my familiar (who is not named Blackwing, but should be :) to reconnoiter their location. I followed, watched them be beaten and interrogated some more, and then found their stuff. I had to kill an orc, and to hide the evidence, I stuck the corpse into the Dwarf's bag of holding. Then when we were escaping, we dump him in the sac as well, because he sucks at sneaking (Dwarven cleric - full plate). So, voila ;) I didn't tell him about the orc beforehand, of course. Hee! Anyway, that meant that we completely avoided the second encounter of the evening, and game ended early as Eric didn't have much more planned. Ahh well... Things should be getting more interesting as we progress :)

Now... It is relatively early and I should work. however, I would rather just eat snacks. Alas, I have none :/ Workin' it is...
