...Mostly smells like pee.
The conference was fun, but not *amazingly* fun. I did some good wandering, found a kickass candy shop (Would you like a free sample? Would you like another? How about another?), and had a good time hanging out with people. However, our hotel was far enough away from the conference that we only got to see it at night, which made for some long days, and falling asleep in at least one session. I was disappointed that the conference organizers didn't have more info on things to do in Sacramento. We did not get a picture of us dressed up in burlesque/bordello costumes, because I am disorganized, ahh well. I did however get free stuff (a hat I will probably never wear and a t-shirt that will be good for sleeping in/the gym - I'd already bought one that fits better) for volunteering, and possibly also having a nice rack.
I would also like to note that they, in fact, *do* have palm trees in Sacramento, as well as a surplus of homeless people, and thus lots of alcoves that smell like pee. That is probably the thing I will remember the longest. But hey, at least I can now say that I've been out west. whee!
At some point, I should make a post about how I really enjoy traveling, but right now I'm going to get dressed and maybe go and get a few groceries, and so forth. I also need to do laundry. And work on my thesis. I must also remember that I have dance class tonight.
Sas, when do you want to watch bees? Or any other of the MST3K's I should have soon?
