so, yes, this is three hours earlier that I ever have to get out of bed in a normal week. Not that this has been anything resembling a normal week.

Well, okay, now I am going to go dress like an 18th C colonist and go sailing an old-timey ship! And also, we're supposed to get thundershowers today! Yaaaay! *sigh* I remembered that I have chips and salsa, though, so my food situation is not *so* bleak...

Oh, also, I send Dr. B a link to the socks page, because he was interested in them for reenacting stuff, and the socks are big and stretchy, and thus could probably fir a guy. I'm a little disturbed. He sent me a reply saying that 'there was a bunch of neat things on there', so now I have a *disturbing* image of Dr. B wearing some, like, gold and purple pin striped thigh-highs or something o_O You're welcome ;)

OOooh, and apparently our serenity comics have shipped! They shoudl be here in 2-4 business days, so early next week, I'm hopin'! *Maybe* Saturday, since they shipped yesterday. Woot!

And when I come home, I will regail you all with tales about my upcoming week from hell. Hell, I say!

I have been very busy these past two works because I had so much reading to do. This week, I have a much more manageable amount of assigned work. However... This weekend, I have marking to do, and I need to attend at least *part* of the North Carolina Archaeology Society meeting here tomorrow and Saturday. That would be cool, but, ummm.. I' supposed ot give a lecture on Wednesday, and I haven't even barly read over the material I need to cover ;_; Oh, and my thesis committee meeting is on the same day. So, eeeeeeeeek!

So yeah... busy busy busy. No time for watching my exciting new DVDs, but I may make time-ish, if the lovely, wonderful tsiankiio wants to take me grocery shopping between the game-playin' and the Humber House thing tomorrow night.... I have had so little time that I haven't had a chance to make any food Lion runs, and I am runnning out of so much stuff at this point that I need more. Also, some of their stuff is scary and gross. We can come back here and watch some stuff before we head over. I can make us a small food (because who knows about the *quality* of these 'free food' things? I'm rambling.) Rah? Maybe? Are you still going? I play to put in a token appearence on Saturday. I guess Franklin is giving a talk :). But, bleh, marking -_- At least it is just one class, and I've done many times it before, now.

Okay, now I need to wash some (more) dishes before I can cook dinner. I was reduced to eating out of tupperware. People who know me know how I hate to let dishes pile up. And my house is a disaster area ;_;

On the upside, I think I *will* have a little party-type thing for my birthday, the Friday after (7th). I will advertise as having snacks, eclectic music, silly card games, and good company :) So, if you are in the area (or even not!), consider yourself invited! I don't have a lot of room, but I will do my best to make my little place presentable and cozy :)

So, yes, back to dishes. Then food, and then reading about The Enlightenment! Wooh!

since my last update, I have:
Washed two more sinks of dishes
Vaccumed my living room and study
Swept all the sweepable surfaces of floor
Put two loads of laundry in the washer, and one in the dryer
made dinner, including a salad.

So, I am going to watch one episode of batman while I eat, and then go read and plan.

*breathes*

I keep forgetting it is Thursday, and that I have to go in Early to proctor an exam tomorrow. But that just means I am made to get up early and read ;)

So, I am supposed to be writing this lecture.

Only, I have the proffs notes here in front of me, but so far everything from his notes that I have gone to look up more info on has been wrong. Even some of the names of the major people I'm supposed to discuss.
