First off... I would like to encourage my far flung friends to get not *only* google talks, but also Skype, which is another internet phone program with free computer-to-computer calls that allows for multiperson calls for up to five people! Five! That would be a neat little internet movie night, wouldn't it? I also encourage Julie to get her soundcard properly installed ^-^ Google talks is a clearer connection, but it is only good for person-to-person stuff, for now. I'm hoping they sort out multi-person, but this will do for now :)

Secondly.... I am trying to decide what I want to do for my birthday. I have enough friends here that, in *theory* I shoudl be able to oull off somethig fun. But not all my friends know each other, and I don't really know what we would do if I called peole all together here, for example. I suppose I could just offer liquor, food and board games, and leave it at that...? I don't know....

Thirdly, tsiankiio, if you want to have your gambeson made by Hallowe'en we need to work on it some more :o I say this because I acidentally utterly destroyed the pattern we made for the sleeve! Whoops -_-

Oh, and finally.... should I buy ( this perfume? )

It sounds like somethig I would like, but I *am* expecting a new order if stuff ithe next week or so. But if I do buy it, shoudl I get *just* it? I only have until tonight to decide!
Oh, there is a lso a t-shirt... But I can have a litle longer to decide about that.

I am ahead of schedule for homework for once. Does anyone want to do something fn this evening?

Also I will add that there is something very Right about earl grey tea with ginger cookies.

I just ripped a 3 disc set of cds of folk music form all over canada. It's got everything from Inuit throat singing and an anthropological interview run through of a headdress doning song from the Kwakiutl to Newfie fishing songs, Ukranian tunes, French voayger songs and, excitingly for me, a bunch of tunes that my mother used to have on record when we were kids and I thought I would never be able to get in another format. Some of them are horrid, some are hilarious, some are awesome, and some a combination of the above.

So, if anyone would like to hear some traditional Canadian folk tunes... Native ones, or ones from a particular province, or songs of my youth, or whatever... lemme know :) I am happy to share them. The point of the compilation was to record culture, not to make money, so I can't possibly imagine that they would be mad about them being shared. *ptoui* on the record companies!

It's been a musical afternnon for me, as I ripped a bunch of my cds, and made a mixed CD for Julie, and other exciting music-related things :)
