so far: Breakfast: 1 cookie, 1 light yogurt.
Read LJ and comics.
I just lost the game. I blame [livejournal.com profile] tsiankiio for posting a meme with no instructions, which made me think of the rules of the internet, and thus, the game.

Next up: Get dressed.
Call Dina.
Read more of The Great Nation.
Finish editing piracy essay #1 as much as possible without library research.
Dishes
Super Sekrit Baking.

I dunno if there is more than that. I got everything I'd intended to do yesterday done, eventually, but that french book is a lot harder to get through than I imagined. Or else I'm out of practice. I'm aftraid I don't really have anything interesting to say. If I wind up having spare time, though, I'm going to start organizing pictures from this summer. *shrug*

She is unlikely to read this, so i will describe what I made for Michelle's birthday tomorrow. She said I didn't have to bring anything, but Dina suggested that it would be in hand with her food theme to bring some kind of mini deert, so I made chocolate strawberry fruit tarts. they have a chocolate base 9which I;'m not 100% happy with), a strawberry/white chocolate base, adn then fruit with a gelatin glaze. Mmm, who knew that gelatin glaze could be so damned delicious? i with I had some ice cream to eat the leftover with.

In other news, I've done all myreadings for Historical Archaeology, and they make me angry! grr! We are lookign at the basics of what historical arcaheology is. It annoys me how america-centric most of the definitions are, and also how bloody naieve so many of the authors are about historical analysis. It annoys me to read things like "It is generally agreed that historical arcaheology starts wth the contact period in the americas", and also things like "Historian don't know how to ask important questions about people, culture and societye of their material the way an anthropologist could." Grr! GRRRRR! Is anyone with me on this? I think it is insulting to archaeologists who study other historical periods, to the peoples they study, and to historians. Bah! This is an abbeviated rant, because I have released most of my annoyance during the course of tart preparation. I hope the tarts go over well... My hands smell like butter. These things are only tangentally related. But I think I will take a shower and start getting my hair ready ^-^
