I have no idea why that phrase popped into my head. I wonder if anyone who was around for that conversation will remember what we were talking about ;) I wonder how confused everyone else will be! hee!
I am at the library. I just got back from lunch. I only went for lunch around 11:30. I really eat too fast,. I had vegetarian pizzaz and a chocolate milk. I also bough three cookies, but since I did eat so fast, I was too full, and will save them for later.
I was at the library earlier... probably since around 10 or 10:30. I would have been here sooner, but I had to photocopy some stuff for Dr. Parkerson, and had to wait for the copier to be free. I am looking at the BPRO records for South Carolina on microfiche again. Once again, the copy machine reader killed my card. I was talking to the lady at the copy center, who gave me yet another new card, and she said that they can't fix them, and no one has as yet authorized replacing them. So whenever one gets too fucked up, they just take it out of service. Which probably explains why there are only about two left, one of which is seriously defective. Ahh well... I'll try using the other one now, if I can. If I get desperate, think there is one that is hooked up to a scanner, but that seems overly complicated. I don't like dealing with documents on the computer anyway... I'm just going to print them out eventualkly, why can't I do it now? On the other hand, if I just saved them to disk, I could print them for *free* in the any of departmental computer labs. Oh, the dilemma! Well, I did just put 10$ on this new card, so I'll see how that goes.
I have another hair appointment today, at 2:45. That means I'll probably stay here for another two hours, then migrate to Eller, and then down to the salon. I have food out for dinner that will hopefully be thawed. I have to remember to make bread tonight, since that is what I am planning to take for lunch tomorrow on the dig (yay dig!). I'm really excited, and will bring my camera and take many pics of me and others digging holes, and also of the Great Vacant Lot that is Historic Bath (apparently). All is good.
Right, my tummy is more or less settled, and I am going to go back to the history mines :)
Edit Grrr grr Fuckity Grr >:| Another machine ate my card. This is the third time of three that I have had this problem! Only this time, they can't read my card, and thus can't see that I just put ten dollars on it ;_; It is a brand frickin' new card! So I have to wait for the boss lady I talked to this morning to come back from lunch in about 40 min so that I can get *anything* done. bah! maybe I should go to Eller now? And print articles that I need to read for Carl? Or at least, the ones I can get from J-Stor. I can't photocopy them because my card is dead >:| This is really really uncool. Grr. On the other hand, I am only losing half an hour... Maybe I can just keep looking through the fiche for things I'll need to copy, since I'm going to have to switch to a different machine anyway, so that I can go right to the pages I need... That sounds like a decent plan, I guess. But, for the record.... Grr >:|
