I am tired and bewildered (read: drugged).

I have decided that I am going to go to the SS office today or bust, one way or another. I am probably going to taxi there. I have a sneaky plan. maybe I can get a drive, and maybe not... We'll see. Right now, I am going to go and see the history department secretary, if she is in, then go to the library to get a book, and then to Eller. I wish that it weren't supposed to rain today, because otherwise it would be a really nice day to take a walk.

You know what, I know I had intended to put something more interesting in here, but now I can't remember what it is at all. Meh. In other news, just to confirm the site's general incompetence, Mapquest has the university on comepletely the wrong streets on the map I was looking at to figure out where the office is.... not exactly encouraging :p It is really between 5th and 10th street, with some residences spilling south from that. If you want to see where I live (well, on the map), look for the corner of 1st and oak, and it is on that block :)

Arrr. Should I say things like that on the internet? *shrug*

EDIT: ...Since this is the last entry on *my* friends page, I figured I wouldn't make a new one, I'll just add more here.

I went and talked to the people I needed to talk to to get my number changed, and they decided they didn't need to see my card. Hurrah! Then, though I only found out I needed to do this through a rather circuitous route, I went and got my student card updated, too. this makes my need to get my card replaced less pressing, so I think I will see about getting a drive later. I'll ask Michelle again, maybe? Or someone else? I dunno. I hate asking for favours all the time, especially when I now people are busy with their own projects and problems. On the other hand, I kind of need groceries again... bah. Bah! I should just bus up to Walmart and buy a bike and be done with it. I probably just missed the bus, though. I'll go and seee. Arr.

I just got back from the hair salon. I chopped off somewhere in the range of 6-8 inches, and my hair is now just 4-5 inches past my bra strap. eeek!

The guy, Douglas, was a sweetheart though, who lavished compliments on me and my hair, made sure I really wanted to cut that much off, and then told me I was right to do so because it was in bad condition, gave me a backrub, and put jojoba scebnted with sage and sweetgrass in my ends. On top of that, he said that since there are so many girls in my program who have come in to his salon, that they may well throw us a little thank-you party, with free mini facials and stuff like that. awesome pants. However, also AHHHHH! because my hair has gone form ridiculously long to just 'long'. I wonder if anyone will notice. But this is good. It's *good*. My hair feels so much lughter, and it is curlier too. Wooh!

I also caved and bought some make-up, a lipstick and an eyeliner. Together, they were more expensive than my haircut. The beautician (or whatever he is called) applied me some to try it out, so now I look all saucy. ARR!
