What a nice way to spend my morning: sleeping in!

I didn't have Material Culture today, since Dr. Babits had to go...somewhere. So, I slept until I woke up on my own for the first time in ags (10:30), breakfasted on fresh-baked bread and peanut butter, and have spent most of my day so far faffing about on the internet. Mostly having a mini history geek-out session with Julie, where I determined that yes, I really do know too much about pirates. Hee! I also had a shower, and wrote another entry for a fun/silly joint fiction thingy going on in the BPAL forums. The premise is that we were sent on an expedition to Peru to track down new scent notes. The are zombies, and penguins and pirates, oh my! Also chupacabras, and only one chinchilla sighting. And nudity ^-^ 'Tis fun :D

Now, though, I am going to have a it of lunch, and do some work, since I didn't do any yesterday evening at all, except for that bit of transcription. I am off to read about the West Indies for Carl's class next week: Robert S Dunn's book Sugar and Slaves. I'm told that a: I should have read it ages ago and b: it is really good. Sounds promising!
