I'm in a good mood, you may guess form my bouncyness, and my foolishly grinning little mouse ^-^

I came home after my classes, and did dishes and made myself lunch! There is just something very *right* about tomato soup (with basil) and a grilled cheese sandwich. Yum! And orange juice! I remembered to get Minute Maid this time, because it tastes less like thickeners and preservatives than Tropicana. I don't know of it *is* or not, but I much prefer it. And not only do I have orange juice, I also have cran-grape juice *and* chocolate milk! Hurray for getting groceries! (I also have regular milk, but not for drinking. Blech.) Last night, I had a bagel, with egg and *bacon* for supper. Mmmmm, bacon. It was the one thing that kept Islam from conquering the globe, I'm sure. European crusades were really all about not giving it up.

I am also going to make tea! (Earl Grey, hot, and black like my soul!). Earl of Sandwich, Earl Grey... It is a day for food named after dead English lords, I guess :D Anything else I should be consuming that I have forgotten? There should have been an Earl of Chocolate ^-^

I also figured out where to get a replacement paddle for my breadmaker and ordered one! Go me! I am really glad for that rent.com card, it has proved very useful for these little purchases while I am credit-cardless. I think I have about 20-25$ left on it now.

Now, I am going to go and read. I haven't decided *what* to read yet, though. I have a few choices. I could keep reading Ritchie and get that out of the way. I could start reading Citizens of the World by Hancock, which I have to have read by next Tuesday (I think), for class discussion. Or I can read the little book that Dr. Ewen lent me on the arcaheology of cultural formation, From Spaniard to Creol, which should help me with my Theory project. Hmmm... They all look interesting, at least, but I've already *started* Ritchie, and he will be easy to get through since I don't need to pay much attention to detail, and I've already read it.

First, finish OJ. Then, boil water for tea, and clean glasses. Then read. Later tonight, make chili, and bake some kind of exciting snack. I am assuming we don't have Exia at this point, but boy would I love to know what the heck is going on with that game long-term!

Okay, I'm off, but I will be watching for the mail guy, and hoping that someday I will receive exciting parcels. I'm expecting a few at this point!

Last night, I tried a new kind of conditioner stuff (The hardcore leave-in-for-3-to-5-min kind), and then took a bubble bath. I think there was some unfortunate combination of chemicals there, because this morning my hair smelled *really* gross. I was all freaked out. I am used to having nice smelling hair! So, I cheated, since I didn't have time to re-wash it, and justperfumed it (Take a litle bit of perfume oil in the palm of your hand, and run it all through your hair). Now my hair smells deliciously like spiced rum ^-^ I am thinking that Port-au-Prince is starting to sneak its way up to the top of my favourite scents list. Anyway, my hair just smells nice, I will clarify; it doesn't smell like something nice layered over something nasty. And it still smells nice even after it was up all day in a braid :) The perfume oils seem to stay longer in my hair then they do on me. They also 'settle' differently, although they do still 'settle'. Ladies, you should try perfuming your hair, it is awesome. :)

In other news about things I like, I am really enjoying the research I am doing for my paper for Carl's class. It is reminding me that the broader social, economic and political context of piracy is actually just as interesting as piracy itself. It is so full of interesting conspiracy! It is also reminind me that piracy is really hard to define, and that while in *some* ways, there are reall distinctions between pirates and privateers, in other ways, there was not. Also, I didn't put on this song on purpose, I promise. However I am 'detecting music now', so you will know it was playing when I was writing this even if the song ends before I'm done. :D ~I'm a broken man on a Halifax pier, the last of Barett's privateers!~

Other things I like are food! I am going to go start that chili now I think. I doubt that I will have any of it tonight, though. I will probably make either tacos or quesadillas instead, since I have wraps and salsa and green peppers. Yum! Also, I have about 50 pages left to read of ritchie, so I will finish that tonight for sure. then probably start Citizen of the World. It lookis like a good book, but I hate taking notes while I read. I read slowly enough as it is!

Oh, and something I don't like... All the mail that came to me today was for my neighbours. Hello, can you not read? I am 105! not 104 or 106! Bah. And where are my exciting packages! I demand exciting packages! I am still waiting for whatever it was S&J(&H) sent me back in September, plus books and a CD from Amazon. H told me to watch my mail too, so now I am watching it even more ;) And sometime, hopefully in the next week otr two, I should get muy shipment from BPAL. And I never did get that mystery package from Florida from Joel... Sometimes I wonder if my neighbours steal my packages. Boo on them!

I just noticed that the brand of the tortillas I bought is 'Pepito'. I am disturbed, but have resolved just not to think about it any more.

...yum, taco!
