Apparently, my quisclaus e-mail isn't working. Just on the slim chance that someone might want to send me e-mail (ha!). I guess go to gmail instead!

This is especially annoying because I sent out some school related e-mails this AM, and now I won't know if they have replied. Bah. I guess I'll send a second message this afternoon.

This probably explains why I haven't been getting my LJ comment notifications though.

Well, I went to see dr. Ewen this morning about a few things. He has agreed to chair my thesis committee, yay! He is glad that I am goign to try and take some of the arch courses for credit, because it may help bring down some of the older barriers betwen the MS arch and the anth department, as far as course organization goes. However, he did say that I couldn't tell his department head, since they are afraid that taking on too many MS students (he is already advising a few of the CCRM PhD's, that he will neglect his own anth students. I don't think it will really be a problem for him, though. Anyway, yay!

Also, that guy I e-mailed this morning? Well, it was a good thing I e-mailed him again this afternoon about not getting mail at quiscalus, becuase he *had* already replied, and, not only that, but he has already forwarded his response to me at gmail ^-^ This resulted in me ordering a copy of his PHD thesis from Boston U through interlibrary loan. I hope it comes fast, eek! Anyway, it is alll good.

In addition to that, I think I mentionned that I had ordered a few books from Amazon with the 100$ visa card I got from rent.com. One of them was a used copy, and it already caem :) Wrell, I was expecting it to be fats. I ordered the *second* cheapest copy, specifically because it was being mailed from in-state ;) And the proceeds (the whole 7$ ;p ) go to a litteracy project, so all is good. And I really really should have owned this book before. I was slacking off in buying it. Anyway, now I have my very own copy of Captain Kidd and the War Against the Pirates. I have read it before... it talks about the politics surrounding Kidd's case, and how he was a transitional figure from the times of state sanctioned piracy to state persecution of piracy. All very good, though I remember it being a little dry. And now I am off to get reacquainted with its pages.... and then come back online later to try and work on my story for a bit. If people are going to be around... well, that would be shiny ^-^
