I've just been reassigned! I am no longer working with Dr. Corbin. Instead, I'm working with Dr. Don Parkerson, about whom I know nothing and who I can find no info about on the history dept. site. Apparently he is a great guy. I guess I am now 'a marker' (arccording to Dr. Corbin), although I think it is more of a general TA thing. I'll be helping with an American History class (buh?) and a Historiography class (keen!). The reason for the reassignment is that the guy who was supposed to be his assistant is in a fieldschool, and really can't be available for what he needs to do. I'm not sure (and neither is Dr. Corbin) why *I* was picked, but, whatever. I'm dissapointed that I won't get a chance to have interesting projects to work on, a bit, but the teaching experience will also be useful.

I just e-mailed him, so I will see when I hear back, I guess. I thought I was supposed to be doing work today, but it looks like not... Guess I'll go read more Castex (wooh!) until I have my French translation test at 1:00...

Okay, so the thing I had to translate was a page an a half from a textbook on corporations during the Englightement (Which didn't occur to me as being 'Le temps des Lumières' until after I was done -_-).

Anyway, this being over now, plus my reassignment for working wmeans that I have extra time to finish Castex, which means that I will probably go up to the lab tonight to work on it/play. Anyone going to be around?

Also, I forgot to write about my scent (Iago), again, and now it is very faded and hard to describe. It is kind of sweet-musky but with that same musty undertone I described the other day. It didn't seem to last that long this time... but in general, the scent isn't something I think I will adore.

I have furniture! *And* I have the internet at home!....kinda. I can't seem to connect to either IRC or ICQ, which is highly annoying. I suspect I will have to deal with it another time, though, since I haven't read any Castex since about 5 and I still have a good seventy pages to go >_< Glad to have my stuff, not so glad to have lost time...

Edit: Okay, you know me, I couldn't leave well enough alone. I did get IRC to work ^-^
