Last night, shortly before I came home from seeing a late night movie with Joel, one of Hazel's chinchillas dies... Egon. he was such a sweet little guy, easily the most friendly and well behaved of the lot when you took him out to play.. He haredly ever pooed on anything, and he was pretty clever for a willa. I am sad that he is gone, and I feel bad for Hazel because I know she cared for him a lot.

I brouht her Witkin to try and make her feel better, and it seemed tyo work until Witkin bit Egon, which was just realy upsetting. I kkow, they're animals, they don't work the same way we do, don't really have a concept of 'respect for the dead'. I like to think maybe he was, well, 'testing' I guess. "Dude! Get up, what's wrong with you?" but that is probably anthropomorphizing a bit too much.

In any case, I am now all tired, and sad.
