Lots of people have been asking me what sort of things I want for Christmas. I'm going to make this pretty easy, I think.

1. I am trying to collect non-fiction books on pirates, including amassing many different print versions of A General History of the Pirates in all ins various forms and authors. Other books I'd especially like to own (I don't know if they are in print, though) are William Snelgrave's book A New Account of Some Parts of Guinea and the Slave Trade and if you can find it (very dubious) a copy of Madagascar; or Robert Drury's Journal. I'd say Mike Parker-Pearson's book IN Search of the Red Slave: Shipwreck and Captivity in Madagascar, But Amazon says it isn't published yet. Maybe it has been in England ;) Fren Canyon Press Has a lot of pirate books on their site.

2. Fern Canyon also have something else I'd like... Cheesy pirate collectibles! They have things like pirate clothes, pirate flags, pirate rings... I'm not looking for cheesy pirate figurines, but other pirate *stuff* is all good, especially wearable pirate stuff.

3. I'm interested in books on medieval fighting techniques and Kung Fu theory and so on.

4. A sword (ha!)

5. The new Terry Pratchett book, Night Watch. Only this year, hopefully people can not get me duplicate books. Also, yes, this is the *only* TP book I don't already own, except for The Amazing Maurice and his Educated Rodents. That would also be good. Also, I don't own any Neil Gaiman except Coraline and Smoke and Mirrors, but I've at least read all his stuff, so that's okay. COllecting books I've already read is a lower priority.... still be nice though :D MMM, Sandman trade Paperbacks. Same goes for George R.R. Martin stuff. I have book one, but not two or three.

5. Jewelery. I want *dancey* jewelery. I've notice you can get a lot of cool middle easter looking and Indian looking jewelery in stores these days, as well as lots of jingly things like coin belt, anklets, etc. Necklaces, belts, brackets and earrings are all cool, gold or silver (coloured) are all good, and other metals too. I have no preference, really :D

6. Dance costuming stuff, bought or made. Even fabric, really.

7. Obscure household appliances. Like, say, a rice steamer. I have a waffle iron already though. But maybe a toastie maker (toasted sandwiches) or a grill, or something.

Okay, that's probably enough ideas, for cheap and expensive things. Gift certificates and food also accepted.

Clothing sizes: Small or medium in normal t-shirts (Tight is good, right? ;D), but I'm not picky. medium sizes in skirts, pants I have no idea... I'm tall though. underwear... well, it had better be good ;D (Skull and crossbones bra? ;) 36d, or a medium in panties...

This is my Christmas post for *other* people ;D

Basically, my grnad plan this year to cover most of my friends, is to do baking and chocolate making.

This means that is anyone out there has allergies, or, say, doesn't like chocolate, or only likes dark chocolate, or white chocolate, or loathes mint (freak), this is the time where you tell me that.

I already know about [livejournal.com profile] countduckula. Blarg.

I think that's about that. I need to get ready to go out and buy ingredients :o
