How am I? I'm tired. I've been tired since yesterday. My energy is really affected by the weather. Also, I'm up late. Well, maybe no *too* late, all things considered... like the fact that I haven't been going to bed before two or three lately, but late enough.

As for the weather.... yesterday it was pretty blah and grey all day, and finally started snowing sometie overnight. It was still snowing quite hard when I woke up around ten thirty (Okay, maybe I just haven't been getting enough sleep...). We went out around one, in the middle of raging snow blizzard. We (Hazel and I) taxi'd out. When we wanted to come home, around 5:30, there were no taxi's running. So we stayed where we were. I went out for a walk, to the movie store, with balthcat, and though it wasn't snowing, it was windy and there were sharp little ice crystals blowin in my face. I bought an ice cream cone, because I like eating cold things when I'm overheated from walking. It wasn't cold enough out to justify doing up my coat, even.

I got back, ate food, and helped make other food, and then we watched a movie. After that, when we wanted to come home around... um... ten thirty, I guess, we did get a cab. By then (and continuing to now), it was raining and slushy and absolutely crap out. Bleh.

So, what did I do this afternoon? Shan is finally trying her hand at running a game. She really likes the Dark Ages Vampire setting, so she is running in that. She is also running a prepackaged module, because she is unexperienced and terribly afraid it will suck. I think the session went pretty good, after we all got characters made/finalized and such. A couple of us... well, okay, maybe even the majority of us are playing non-standard clans. We have two Lhiannon (which are like... Blood Magic pagan vampires) and a Salubri. Also a Malk and a Lasombra.

The two Lhiannon are linked (I'm playing one of them, of course... I like blood magic. And I wanted to play a pagan wise-woman type), and mine is a healer.... freakwoman's malk is a healer, and so is the Salubri. We're all more or less helpful heal-y types, except for f00dave's (the Lasombra, of course) who is a right bastard. ;) Dave has been surly lately anyway, maybe this will help him get it out of his system. Anyway, I don't know how the fact that so many of us are not standard vamps will affect things. It gives some of us a good reason to work on the module, but... Hmm. I think what it really means is that Shan is going to have to be really familliar with what the module entails so she can alter stuff if needed. I think it has potential, though :)

What I am doing right now, as well as udating my LJ and talking over ICQ to Fishy-Fish is waiting for some more baking to come out of the oven. I'm making poppyseed cake for Hazel, for her work potluck. SHe was going to do it this evening, but couldn't because of the whole taci thing detailed above. It takes an hour to cook, and she has to get up early for work, so I said I'd stay up and bake it for her. I'm such a nice person. Or a gullible one, depending on how you want to look at it. There are some people (okay, mostly Hazel) who can make me do just about anything for them.... *sigh* I guess it isn't really a bad thing to be loyal and whatnot to family though, is it? :)

Speaking of snow, I need to get dressed and shovel some before it freezes :/
