I'm going to go re-dye me hair green. Tonigh is Halowe'en afterall. I'm going to unpack some stuff from my costume box. I don't knwo what though. I'm wearing antlers and leaves in my hair, that's all I know. Maybe if I'd thought of it before, I could have borrowed [livejournal.com profile] ladyiolanthe's satyr leggs. Her sister was here yasterday all afternoon, afterall.

I don't know what I'm doing tonight either. Maybe I'll just go wander around aimlessly and gore evil children with my antlers. You know, the holigans that egg houses.

Yesterday I watched a lot of things. I watched the end of Escaflowne, which was cool because I've been waiting for over a year for that now. I watched Experimental Anime Excel Saga #26, which I also watched the day before, but I adore, because of the crack. Anyone with more information on this should give it to me, now.

I watched Dracula: The Dark Prince which I thought might be cheesy, but wasn't. It isn't a vampire movie, either. It is a movie about Vlad Dracul, the Romanian Prince. I'm not saying it was an absolutely *amazing* movie... it wasn't. But it was a far cry from being a *bad* movie. It had some really great scenes, and good acting. The guy who played Vlad managed to portray an appropriate level of stoicism without seeming wooden. Although his passionate scenes were not always so good. But then, I think there are some situations in life where all you really *can* do is rail against the sky and scream 'Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo!'. Also, his brother, Radu, was a big old cunt, in more ways than one. I'd recommend it for people with interest in Vlad, both as a historical figure and as a mythological one. The movie dealt with the myth of him never dying part without touching on vampirism, and I think they did a good job with it. Anyway, you all know the story so it isn't like I'm spoiling anything :p As an added bonus, it has Roger Daltry, lead singer of The Who and of Lisztomania infamy.

Speaking of infamy, I also atched four really horrible Shirley Temple short films. The first two, War Babies and

Horns and antlers, 6 tiered gold and orange skirt, a muslin slip with more orange and brown flowers as trim... a red coat, or cloak, or both. Some kind of funky makeup. Piles of green hair. Leaves.

I went trick-or-treating, with Shanmonster as Morgaine and Jody as Scary. Possibly Scary Witch, or Scary Ghost of Renfaire Past. She was all in black with huge sleeves and makeup which said "Yes, yes I *have* just eaten a two year old. Problem with that, buddy?". I already described my costume, and I made my mom take a picture. Three years from now when she gets the film develloped. I'll try and scan it.

Only one surly old man told us that he thought we were too old. Shan told him that she was only five. Damn that human growth hormone! Everyone else was really nice, and some gave us multiple handfuls of snacks! :o Mind you we only went to houses that seemed to be especially marked by the spirit of Hallowe'en... that meaning they were heavily decorated and had lights.

We did much wandering here and there, and then we went to Dimitris where we each bought a little snack/dinner-y thing. At one point we wandered through King's PLace and gave candy to bored looking mall employes in costume. And then we went back to Jodie's and watched Serial Mom. Fun!

Now I'm going to to an IC for Diablotin, because Rob and I didn't get to finish an in-game conversation last session because things went so late. And send the log to Julie, arr!
