Today I hung out with Shan and Dave pretty much all Day. I wandered around downtown with Shan while we both ran some errands (I got a VIBE box, yay broadband connection!). We also showed off dance stuff to each other. She wins! If I only had more money... She had a gorgeous choker in her to-sell stock, and a matching belt. Saucy.

She made a roast chicken with squash, carrots, and sweet potatos, which was all yummy. Hazel was convinced to come over for dinner too. We ate all their beets.

Shan skipped her Kung Fu class, and after dinner, we went and rented some films. Zardoz, Raising Arizona, and Return of the Living Dead 2. We watched the first two, in that order, and are saving the third.

Zardoz. What can I say? Poor Sean Connery. I hope the loincloth was comfortable, and he did get to see/grope a lot of topless women. The...'plot' was....interesting. Yes, that term is somehow applicable, I'm sure.

Raising Arizona was entertaining. I gess I don't actually hate the Cohen Brothers, they've just made a few movies I really didn't like. Well, two, anyway, and their track record seems otherwise very good. Especially O Brother, Where Art Thou? Which is one of my favourite movies.

And then I came home, and spent an hour or so doing e-mails and so forth. Tomorrow, I set up VIBE, and play Exia, both of which are exciting prospects. If I'm *really* lucky. I can even ahve some sort of network thing set up so that hazel and I don't have to keyboard share again. Or something. Maybe even just one on VIBE and one on dial-up. Hmmm....

I had initially intended to write more in this entry about being home.

Fredericton is pretty much the same as I left it, though some things have changed. The Stupor Store renovations are done, and they are renovating the Co-op again. MOm's garden is pretty... maybe I will take some pictures of that if I can get some way to scan and print them.

Anyway, I really think it is high-time that I go to bed, all things considered. I want to shake this cold I picked up...

Things are good!

I just got off the phone with my friend Dean! He is doing really well, I was happy to hear. He's still doing sociology stuff at UNB, too, which I think is good. I'm glad he's found somethig that he is interesated in doing and applying himself to. he was also a blacksmith this summer at King's Landing, which is keen. I told him he would have to start making me swords ^-^. Now if only he had a forge ;D

Also, I've found out that there is a 95% chance that [livejournal.com profile] supersocialist will be able to come up for my birthday! This makes me quite happy, because I also haven't seen him in ages. And I've never seen his VW bus either. If only it weren;t such a long drive for him to make :/

I'm trying to convince my friend Seb(Alan) to come up from Hell too. I've never managed to talk to him in person yet though. maybe it's some sort of weird fate thing. Whcih would suck. [livejournal.com profile] longpig has met him, why can't I! I have a list of people that I kow over the internet that I really want to meet in person, and he has been on it forever. You'd think it wouldn't be so difficult, what with him living as close as he does. Well, closer than a lot of other people on the list who I have met (like Buck/Supersocialist). But circumstances conspire. I was hoing to meet him in Hell when I got picked up on Monday, but we drove straight back to Fredericton from the airport. Ahh well.

Other good things... I'll have VIBE set up by Friday. They should have the box here by tomorrow so I can set that up. Then we'll need a router to share it out to the whole house. I'll talk to Scott, I think, and see if we're goign to need something similar in Waterloo, and if we will then I'll buy it so that I can take it with me. We shall see, though.

I went to the mall with my mom, and we had food at Tim Hortons. I mostly missed the donuts, and the French vanilla cappuchino. We also went to Fabric ville, and I scared myself with the thought that maybe I could make another 6-tiered skirt before I left for Ontario. They has some black and off-white fabrics that were pretty much the same on the bargain wall. I think I'd need something really bright to off set them though, and there wasn't anything that particularly caught my eye. Also I couldn't remember how much of each I would need. But I'll keep it in mind, arr... I know Shan wants to have a stich'n bitch at some point, which I would be definitely up for. Just say when, I say!

Anyway, now I have to get off so my mom can check her e-mail. Arr!
