I've kinda started watching the Stargate TV show. It's pretty cool, actually. The scientist guy reminds me of various of my Male gaming characters... he's got elements of some of the more plucky ones... Arden, and Nathan, even. Maybe a mix between them ;) Also, the general is played by McGuyver! ^-^

Anyway, I watched two episodes in a row, because they happened to be on. And now I'm watching the movie, and by the power of amazingly long cables, and laptops, I can compute at the same time!

Now, I know that some people have been waiting to hear details from my dig. Well, I'm too lazy to write them up. But Mary wasn't! She made both a Livejournal entry and a little page about it on her homepage. So you can go there and read about it! hee!

Anyway, I don't really have a whole lot ot add about her comments. She is going to scan some of my pictures too and put them up there. And I took the one of her augering.

Side note, I think it is funny that archaeologists use Augering. Basically,you core the earth to look at the soils. But I like to play little games with words and say hat archaeologists use augury! It's like, archaeology of the future, to understand land use and what not in the past, and in the *future* too! ^-^

One other thing I will mention is the church at Walesby. It is basically an abandoned church that is always open, and gets used once a year for a carol service the second week of December. It is a 'transition' chuch, with Anglo-Saxon and Norman arches, and stuff. It is a very serene place. I rather quite liked it there.

Also, I'll mention Otby. One night, Mary and I went for a little walk around the area of Walesby. we walked out to Otby. Otby is... a house. That's right, a house. It hasn't been a village since the 1860's or so, from stuff I hve since read. Why do they have a road sign to a place that doesn't even exist? Silly English ^-^

Anyway, going back to movie watching, and maybe make character stats fopr Terry's game...
