This was one of the prideful sins that Maegery Kempe felt that she needed to suffer for. It's a paraphrase, but hey, whatever.

Myself, I don't have any slashes, and my points are hardly the nice posh kind, being as they are made from thread and piping cord, rather than leather with pointy metal bits on the ends. But I'm happy enough with them. I may make a handful of spare ones tomorrow, just in case. I have all my points and point holes made now, go me! All I need to do now is: Put some form of functional button holes in my doublet (this I can sense will be a great pain in the ass), sew the fixings onto my boots, and hem the damned ankles of my hose. This last bit shouldn't be too difficult, in theory, except that the ankle bits aren't exactly even... I'l relatively long legged, and it barely fit onto the fabric, and the ankles suffered a bit. Anyway, I'll figure something out. That is the least important thing I need to do, however, as everything esle about the hose is wearable and ready to go. I'm going to pack some things tonight, and make a list of things to pack tomorrow, and then I'll be allll set. Woot!

Just off to M&I's to pick up a tent, the last thing I need to be ready for the weekend (though I never did get my hose hemmed... oh well)

On the other hand, at some point during the mad rush that has been my day to date, my ring has mysteriously come off my finger and I can't find it! ahhhh! t has to be in my room somewhere, but I don't have time to look for it. I'm not allowed to wear it for the event anyway, so I guess it is a good thing I'm not taking it somewhere where it can get *really* lost. Anyway, off to catch the bus, wish me fun, and luck finding it when I get back :o
