Well, Ceiridwen left this morning. We got back last night around 7 or so, after spending the whole day on ferries and trains and whatnot. We didn't wind up having to pay anything extra, but we probably should have. We successfully dodged fares from Holyhead to Sheffield, go us! We had a great deal of Irish adventures, involving alcohol (on my part), half naked rock-climbing, wandering around path-less mountains through forests and waterlogged sheep pastures, driving around beautiful coastlines and Irish back country lanes, seeing bodies dredged from rivers (whatever the river in Sligo is), and visiting modern and megalithic cemeteries... Oh, and waiting over half an hour in a traffic jam in a town so small you could spit across it while six heavily armed men supervised a large bank withdrawal, while an airplane circled in the air above...

And now I'm home, and alone, and directionless. Now is the time I should be crunching down to work on my dissertation. I don't feel like working, though. I think I'll finish the book that Mary gave me, and maybe work on my boots or something later... I've signed up to go to an event this weekend, to somewhere in Wales. I've no idea what to expect. I should e-mail Ken, though and make sure I'm going to have everything I need... And finish my boots and hose, and track down Medic (not her real name) about borrowing female garb... Miao. maybe tomorrow I'll starts writing. I have to start soon, though. I don't have as much time as I'd like... And I need to get my ticket fixed from Travel cuts. I hope I don't have to go to Manchester to do it, though... Mwar. I'll probably go bug M&I later, too...

The last social/fun thing C and I did last night was watch The Linguini Incident Starring David Bowie and Roseanna Arquette. Oh, the madness! David Bowie plays a pathological liar, Arquette plays a waitress at a trendy restaurant with a Houdini fascination and a desire to be an escape artist. The two guys who run the bar, Cecil and Dante, are compulsive gamblers and very strange odd little men. It's a 1991 movie, Poofy Bowie Hair is in full effect. And lots of girls in silver lame o_O
