I have pics of my skirt now, yay! So if anyone want to see them, they should mail me. Many thanks to Ian, for taking them :D

In other new, I did absolutely nothing productive today! Shame on me! Tomorrow, I'm going to do some reading, and go to the train station to find out about ticket prices to a bunch of places, including London, Aberysthwyth, Edinburgh, and Hollyhead... If I remember when I wake up. Maybe I'll read this and remember ;D

TCP update: My room, and even my hands, still smell like a hospital. the bathroom is nauseating, and I had to take my asthma puffer when I woke up from my nap earlier... But when I showered, there was no baclog of shampoo lather waiting to drain away! :D

I just went to the railstation. I actually remembered on my own, and hey, it was a nice excuse to get out of the house on another nice day! I'm convinced this means it will be crappy the whole time I have guests :/

So, the news was... so-so. Aberysthwyth is expensive because very few trainlines go out that way. The news for Ireland was slightly better, London I can get dirt cheap if I can book 7 days in advance :o I should be able to do that, if I ever hear back from the museum...

I didn't look into Edinburgh, though. I know Ian is going to be doing that anyway, and the guy was looking at be with a 'bah, tousists' look. Jerk. Anyway, I also picked up a thingy for a Young Person's rail card, to get a discount on all this travelling I'm planning :o

On the way back from this errand, I decided to stop and buy myself an easter treat! I went to McDonalds for the first time since coming to England. I bought myself a medium fries and a cadbury's cream egg flurry. I had to get the fries. I culdn't justify getting just a flurry when I'd had so little else to eat today. Also, I like dipping McDonald's fries in their lard-cream :D Mmm. lard-cream...

But it was very dissapointing :/ The chocolate was cheap, even though it was supposed to be Cadbury. Well, it certainly wasn't up to their cream egg chocolate standard. And the syrup was really runny (supposed to be like the 'yolk') And it was tiny and very melty, and generally dissapointing. Next time, I'll just get a tub of lard-cream and break a cream egg into in, I think :)

So, I got offline to be productive! Only I'd forgotten I wanted to ask [livejournal.com profile] curtana about the topic for my litteracy essay. I'm writing on the Book of Margery Kempe, which is a bout a nutty Christian 'Mystic' writer. Well, she didn't write it herself, she dictated it. She was still as nutty as a fruitcake. Anyway, Curtana knows lots of stuff about her, but I didn't get to ask. (Also, my trackpad decided to be on crak, another reason I logged off).

Instead of reading the triplet of dodgy looking books on the subject I managed to pilfer from the library five minutes before it closed for the Easter holiday (until Tuesday, that is), I decided I would annoy my roommates. Well, it wasn't so much a conscious decision to annoy them, but rather I impulsively felt like playing with my recorder. I'm sure they probably were annoyed... But really this is only the second time I've played with it since I got here :o Anyway, I went through some music in my book (Mostly SCA stuff, and some tunes from the consort I was in in high school), and then, onto the new! I taught myself to play 'The False Kight on the Road', Steeleye Span version. It's a catchy and tricky little tune, but now I've got it! More or less, anyway. It is hard enough to *sing* ;p

And once I'd had enough of that. of course I was back. And now I have a whole pile of stuff to look up from Curtana! Go me! And her! :D Now, I'm going to cook some broccoli, and maybe some soup, and see if our craptacular library actually has any of these books and journals... I'm guessing not. :p
