Bet you thought this was gonna be about pirates! Welll... it isn't! It is all about my day. Nyaa!
I didn't have class until 2, so I thought I would get up early, and do soe reading. I didn't. I tried, but I just couldn't make myself get out of bed before one, and even that was a challenge. So, I did pull myself out of bed, even managed to fix the purple velvet skirt I wanted to wear, got dressed, and went to class. I didn't get any breakfast, but I wasn't late, either. Go me!
Then, there was class, and it was over in an hour. After that, I went to the mall, with mary, Ian, and a visiting friend of theirs who I had met before. I hadn't intended to go. In fact, I had convinced myself earlier that I wouldn't. But, I caved. The mall beckoned. And once it had me in it's thrall.... It started with Pirate Socks. Not even out of the 'entry wing' of stores, and it had me. Pirate socks. Red toes, red around the holes, and then black with a white skull and crossbones on the ankle. 5 quid. Yoink!
Then, food, of course. Had to have food. Hadn't eaten yet. KFC is everywhere, yum! I'll eat some broccolis later. Then, we went to the Lanes. The Lanes is where alll the cool stores in the mall are. I started small. I bought 3 rocks for my collection. (I collect polished stones, yes, I'm strange). I got a smokey quartz, a red tiger eye, and an agate of some sort. I still need to put them in the box.
Anyway, I guess I stayed in Cleopatra too long. mary and Ian were buying stuff 'cause it was on sale, and Mary even convinced Ian that she realy needed a super slick purple and black netting skirt. So while I was waiting for them, I saw them. The Pants (Trousers).
They were a creamy white colour, with legs that wrapped around in on themselves instead of being sewn up. Kind of like petals, I guess, and with nice white embroidered trim along the edges. The waistband had some lace and lacing on it, and little sewn on mirrors. They were only 20 quid. They are now in my closet. Miao...
But the Mall was not finished with me yet! I remembered that I had told Threeheadedmonkey that I would pick her up a Ringwraiths T-shirt when I was there next, so I had to do that. I also needed to buy a new puff (the bath puff kind). So it got me there too... Then we went to see a movie (Oceans Eleven, a good heist flick, I enjoyed), yay. I didn't buy any snacks, I felt guilty about spending so much already. I've decided I'm not going to buy *any* snacks except where I have to. I have to buy at least a lemonade on Wednesday nights because I liek the poeple who own the pub. Same if I do the social thing on Fridays. But no more Sunday pita-and-hummus!
Anyway, I returned home, watched Angel, did some readings, played 'dressup' with my new pants, and figured out bwhat I'm going to wear for the dance thing in Leeds next thrudsay, and went to play Elves in SPace. Which I am still doing :D I'm also doing a side roleplay bit in preparation for a future DC Heroes game, again online. I decided that my poor character needed a chance to get some of his long pent up issues aired. Fortunately, he knows this nun....
and I was also talking to my Boy and to my mom, and various /msg conversations.... busy night for me :D And back into the fray...
