I want some.

*hop*

Also, I am really sleepy. I spent the evening at a friend's place talking to friends and their guests. It was very.... social of me. I am very tired but I don't want to sleep, which is probably very silly of me. I was invited to a party that was going to be starting after the hosts got back from a showing of the Rocky Horror Picture Show that started around eleven. Ot was on my way back from my other friends' place, but I wasn't exactly sure which place it was, and where I think it was, was still empty. So I assumed they hadn't yet returned. Ignore my bad grammar, as I said I am tired.

I have no idea what I am going to do tomorrow. Maybe I'll finish reading my pirate book.... only about 50 pages to go. And then... I don't know. Work on my dissertation stuff? Sleep? Write? I have something I want to write, but I dreamed I already did it, so I keep thinking that I have... ramble ramble ramble.

Maye I should just go to sleep. I am invited to another party tomorrow, where there will apparently be silly card games. Should be.... interesting. We shall see. Anyway, I think sleep. Maybe. Who knows...

I like ellipses.

Joel is being wooed by all his proffs. He hangs out with them too much. He has a hot young German proff who offered to give him an Oral Exam, even, really...

I don't know where that title comes from, but it was in my mind atm, so there it goes.

And Hurray for me! I *did* finish reading my pirate book! Well, one of them. The written-in-1724 one. Mary suggested I could try to track down and older edition than the one I have atm on e-bay. Hint hint for anyone considering presents for me. You know the one. A General History of the Robberies and Murders of the Most Notorious Pirates, by Captain Charles Johnson. I own the first Folio Edition, which I got at a used book store in York (nice place), but it isn't the nicest edition. The one I just finished reading was from the university library, and published originally in 1926, edited by Arthur Hayward. It was reprinted in 1955. I like it because the editor kept as closely as possibly to the original text, only modernizing spellings. The folio version looks pretty but isn't nearly as exact. Anyway, I doubt any of you are as interested in me in eighteenth century primary sources on pirates :D

I had another achievement today, too, though :D I managed to render one of those jumbo chicken legs relatively edible! I baked it as usual, cut off all the meat I thought I could stomach from it, and added it to a bowl of wanton flavoured instant noodles, with some steamed broccoli. And it was tasty!

Tonight, I'm hoping to get to go see From Hell, and then go to a party (for real this time!) at the home of an acquaintance. So all around, a good day. Yay me :D
