I always had a million fic ideas when I was supposed to be doing academic work - I think it was because my mind was already stimulated. This came from being stuck in a car for two days though ;)
I'm level 21 in Pokemon, on the cusp of level 22. I think I have enough candy to do a lucky egg session though. (If you save up a lot of the little cheap-to-evolve pokemon and then use your lucky egg to get double ex, you can get a toooooon of exp and blast through levels by evolving them all at once, as you always get a set amount of exp for evolving things no matter their cost. This is more worthwhile at higher levels, though, once it become harder to level). I find there is actually some skill to fighting, though you can get away with just mashing the screen. It took me a while to figure out how to use the special attacks on purpose too. And stuff like the types and types of attacks really do matter a lot! I'm curious what kinds are more common down your way - here we have a lot of the generic commons like Weedles and Catterepie and Rattata, and then lots of Drowzees and Jinxes.
I think what I would really like is a museums job where I can work with/care for/organize archaeological collections and do collections-based research on the side. Possibly with occasional teaching.
