December 14 - Sanadhìl and Ilphère when they're old(er)

Another drabble from [personal profile] naryrising today, since no one gave me a topic! The end of the month is pretty open, so feel free to leave me a prompt of some variety: On DW|On LJ.

Book Club

Ilphère ushered him into her study. Sanadhìl poured them each a cup of tea, taking his customary seat. Ilphère beamed.

"I have something to show you...!" She lifted a thick book off her desk and thrust it into his hands. "Menard got it, for my birthday..! I don't know where he even found it, isn't it astounding?"

Sanadhìl smiled, running a hand over the worn cover of Esilveth's Travels in the Outer Planes - the original, illuminated, edition. In fact, Dozilva had helped her husband secure it, but he'd promised not to tell. "A very impressive find – you're very lucky."
