Forestry Pudding is something my mom used to make that I have recently had a big craving for. It is a sort of self-saucing spice pudding - a pudding in the old-style English sense. i suspect it was probably even originally made with suet ;p

I went looking for recipes online and found... absolutely nothing. Just a couple other people asking for recipes! Well I am trying to make it now - I say trying because I'm improvising on various things (I don't have a bunt pan, for example, though I hope to get one soon!), but I know this recipe to be sound when you aren't mucking all about with it. This uses my mother's biscuit mix recipe (included below), and I think you could use any other kind of biscuit base, like Bisquick, to the same effect. Thanks to my sister, who typed all this up a few years ago :)

I'm sorry dude, I forgot about your holiday! I feel that this makes me somewhat of a bad person, and I apologize.

It seems like big things are going on all around today, and this month in general. Now I feel like an extra looser!

Someday, I would like to be the kind of person who makes 50 pairs of fleecy socks just to give them away, and makes baby quilts for transition houses. I am sad to say I am not quite there yet.

Tomorrow is a long day for me. I have class at 8:30, including a test I possibly haven't revised for enough. I have another afternoon class. I want to try and finish one of my papers. I have a ticket to go see the Whirling Dervishes of Rumi at 7 (I think - i really out to pick that up tomorrow morning :p).

However, I might have a chance to go to the SAA tomorrow night. I would rather not go then, for a variety of reasons, including that it is an important day for me that I'd rather not spend organizing myself for spontaneous travel, and hey, I already decided to go see the Dervishes even though i'm surrounded by heathens who show no interest, *and* spent the money. So I guess I'll hold out and see what the weekend brings. Hey CV - any chance of crash space in Austin for a night or so? :V
