I have had a fairly productive day... I was out at my mom's place all day, pretty much. We went out in the morning to pick up Elsa, who had been in a kennel while mom was in the hospital with a cold. After that, we went to Best Metals (junkyard, yay!) so that I could buy a bed, which will be delivered at 3:30 on Wednesday. The boxspring and mattress and delivery cost about $250, so I am content. After that, it was Fred's House of Pancakes for brunch, which alas, neither of us could taste much due to our respective sicknesses (we both just have colds, but it sounds more interesting that way). I *believe* the blueberry pancakes were really good. I do.
We went back to her place so that I could do laundry, and she went out to get groceries. I could have gone with her, but I didn't really *need* any groceries, and I had some things I wanted to do. Things like find the black fake fur that I had so that I could work on my Halowe'en costume. For those of you who don't know, I have decided to be a furry. Hee! A *cat* furry even. I want to have at least one person look at me strangely and say "Cat's don't say 'yiff!'..." Now, in addition to the cat tail that Matthew bought me, I have ears and arm covers. I actually am not quite finished those, because I want to put some leather pads on the palms. By the time I'd finished all of that, my laundry was done, and the only thing I had left to do was to cxlean the grime off the frame for my new bed It is a three-quarter size spool bed, some varitey of antique, but the internet tells me it is probably 1900's (it has a slot to fit rails, and will take metal rails as for a box spring, but I don't think that was what it originally had). I am hardly an expert, and neither is the internet, though.
Anyway, I got it cleaned up, and have been faffing about on the 'net since then, debating supper, and cleaning, and what I will do for entertainment tonight. Arr. I could go see Shan later, if I had company...anyone?
