Still reading Foucault's Pendulum

Man, this book is taking me forever to get through., It is partly because I have to be awake in order to understand it. I'm really really liking it. Also, I must say, Casaubon's conversations with Lia always serve to remin me what a hard core postmodernic Eco is. Bless him.

In other news, I have a horrible head cold, which meant that all I did last night was sleep, after coming online to look at LJ's and talk to [livejournal.com profile] longpig for like, half an hour. Joel had to go grocery shoping without me. So I'm marinading some chicken now, in soy-sauce, honey, garlic, and little dashes of ketchup, pepper and mustard. I wish I'd had fresh garlic instead of powedered. This will become a stir-fry with carrots and brocoli, and maybe green pepper. And some jasmine rice on the side, yum!

Work is still going well. I have some plans, since my shifts have been fairly regular so far, about the possibility of doing archaology stuff on my off days. I'll have to contact some people. hmmm...

In other news, I am gaming with the boys tonight (for sure this time!). Joel isn't hoime yet, though. He had to go for a baby shower or something for his aunt, or cousin, or someone. I had a 'get out of jail' free card from Eastsides, though yay for work! Anyway, I think the plan is to start about a half hour or so from when he gets home, which should be soon. Which is why I'm rushing this entry and skimming other people's entries. So much stuff goes on overnight! :o Anyway, if this is *especially* full of typos, thatès why. Arr!
